The ranking weighs single-pet income, mutation potential and trail resale value. Phoenix holds S tier alone; Dragon anchors the second S slot on income plus showcase value. The tier list ranks all four animals and all nine trails from S to C, with the reasoning spelled out per row.
Rule of thumb: keep duplicates of anything you plan to merge — five identical pets become one Gold (4x) pet in the Mutation Machine and free four Pen slots. Never sell a pet before checking whether it completes a merge set.

Nine trails follow your bounce path, from the starter Blue Trail (x2) to the endgame Crimson Star Trail (x16). Each one trades Cash for a multiplier that also raises duplicate-sale value at the trail shop.
